“Over the last couple of years I have been lucky enough to go on three painting trips to Egypt, each one inspiring me to go back again. I am fascinated by the history and love painting the monuments which are like giant still life set ups, complete with perfect light. The most recent trip was great fun, painting alongside friends and other artists and getting to see how differently we all approach the same subjects.”

Born in London in 1990, Alice trained at Chelsea college of Art and Heatherley’s where she did a diploma in figurative painting. Since then she has travelled widely, painting landscapes both en plein air and in her studio. She has held seven solo exhibitions and exhibited regularly with the New English Art Club, Royal Society of Portrait Painters and Royal Institute of Oil Painters.

Alice now divides her time between her landscape work and still lifes, painted in her studio in Gloucestershire, where she lives with her young family.
