ABOUT SUMMERLEAZE
Find out more about the past and present of Summerleaze Wiltshire
Summerleaze Wiltshire brings together art, education and community in the Wiltshire countryside.
Home to the Scott-Bolton family for almost fifty years, Summerleaze has long been a place where creativity, the land and people come together. The gallery was established in the early 1990s by sisters Trish Scott-Bolton and Claire Swann, with the support of their husbands: renowned landscape painter Tim Scott-Bolton and Oliver Swann, an established gallerist in St James’s, London.
What began with exhibitions soon grew into a much-loved programme of painting courses and talks, while Tim continued his career as an artist from his studio at Summerleaze.
Today, Trish and Tim’s daughter Polly and her husband, Tom Catchpole, are building on that legacy, bringing a new generation to Summerleaze while preserving the same spirit and ethos that have always made it special.
Alongside exhibitions and painting courses, Summerleaze is evolving to embrace the wider life of the land from the kitchen garden and food to craft and creative workshops.
At its heart, Summerleaze is a place where art, nature and people come together to create, learn and be inspired.
